Yorkshire Electricity Board Customers

EDM number 628 in 1998-99, proposed by Harry Barnes on 11/05/1999.

That this House deeply regrets the lack of goodwill and generosity demonstrated by the Yorkshire Electricity Board in refusing to offer suitable compensation to customers who, through no fault of their own, have been inconvenienced or suffered damage to their electrical goods or associated manufacturers' guarantees through unexpected interruptions to the domestic power supply; and calls upon the Yorkshire Electricity Board to follow the more positive and generous example of Northern Ireland Electricity in regard to compensating customers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
