Call Centres

EDM number 363 in 1999-00, proposed by George Galloway on 08/02/2000.

That this House expresses deep concern over health and safety and employment practices within the Excell Call Centre in Glasgow; deplores the sacking and intimidation of staff who have exposed Excell's record; awaits with interest the report of the Health and Safety Executive inquiry into call centres; and believes that there should be an appropriate increase in HSE funding to facilitate detailed and ongoing monitoring of call centres operating in the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
