Anwar Ibrahim, Former Deputy Prime Minister Of Malaysia

EDM number 209 in 2001-02, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 20/07/2001.

That this House endorses the position of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia that Anwar Ibrahim, former Deputy Prime Minister, be allowed to exercise his right of choice of medical treatment as provided for by the United Nations Patients' Charter, to travel outside Malaysia for medical care; and accordingly urges the Malaysian authorities to facilitate this as a matter of urgency.
