By-Election In Shrewsbury And Atcham

EDM number 586 in 2001-02, proposed by Tom Watson on 13/12/2001.

That this House notes that nearly 70 per cent. of respondents to a poll by the Shropshire Star newspaper have called for a by-election in Shrewsbury and Atcham; further notes that it is easy for the third party in British politics to make promises which they know they will never be in government to implement and be responsible for; believes that honourable Members should act upon the advice of their constituents; and looks forward to a date for a by-election in Shrewsbury and Atcham.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
