Conduct Of The Honourable Member For Hayes And Harlington

EDM number 1320 in 2002-03, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 03/06/2003.

That this House condemns the comments attributed to the honourable Member for Hayes and Harlington when he is reported to have referred to the IRA's 'bravery' and said 'It's about time we started honouring those people involved in the armed struggle'; notes the vicious murders of the IRA who for over 30 years have carried out their atrocities against people of many religions and none; and believes that the honourable Member's remarks indicate that he has forgotten the many innocent victims of all terrorist organisations whose bravery is in sharp contrast to the cowardice of those whose violence has scarred Northern Ireland for so long.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
