Coniston Hotel, Sittingbourne And Accommodata

EDM number 505 in 2002-03, proposed by Derek Wyatt on 14/01/2003.

That this House is surprised to find that the National Asylum Seekers Support Service has contacted the company Accommodata to supply places for 111 refugee and asylum seekers at the Coniston Hotel, Sittingbourne; expresses this surprise because Accommodata does not own the hotel nor is it being sold to them; notes that the holding companies for Accommodata are registered in the Isle of Man and Jersey, and questions the underlying ethic of NASS contracting with a third party without the consent or knowledge of the present owner; and calls for the resignation of the chief executive of NASS.
