Regional Assemblies (Preparations) Bill;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 51A5 in 2002-03, proposed by Bill Wiggin on 26/11/2002.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'believes that a referendum on regional government for the West Midlands would be a costly and unnecessary distraction from the real concerns of people throughout Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire who want better public services and have no need for a costly reorganisation of local government or for a new tier of politicians and bureaucrats, which by removing powers from local government would make decisions more remote from the people, not closer to them.'.

This is a ammendment to 51.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
