Second Home Development
EDM number 1328 in 2003-04, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 09/06/2004.
That this House recognises the stabilising factor that permanent residents produce across the UK; is concerned that in many coastal towns second home development is causing problems, particularly in winter months when some towns are virtually closed; and calls upon the Government to produce a coherent policy whereby local communities can be safeguarded against such development bringing with it a potential increase in anti-social and criminal activity.
This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
