Irish Language Translations
EDM number 1779 in 2003-04, proposed by Iris Robinson on 20/10/2004.
That this House expresses concern that the Irish language translation policy of Government departments in Northern Ireland has already cost the Province's taxpayers more than ú600,000 since it introduction; and calls upon the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to abandon this policy with immediate effect and re-direct the resultant savings into frontline services.
