Care Homes And The Hon Member For South Suffolk (2)

EDM number 426 in 2003-04, proposed by Kevin Brennan on 14/01/2004.

That this House notes the reported comments of Alain Leong-Son, Chief Executive of Univent plc, the private care home provider of which the honourable Member for South Suffolk is chairman, that, 'Labour has spent so much on public services that it can only be good for us and our sector'; further notes that these remarks contrast with the criticism of Government policy by the honourable Member for South Suffolk in his capacity as Shadow Secretary of State for Health; and, in the interests of consistency and clarity, calls upon the Leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition to develop a code of conduct to cover the outside interests of his shadow ministers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
