Crawley Borough Council Tenants Reward Scheme

EDM number 488 in 2003-04, proposed by Laura Moffatt on 26/01/2004.

That this House congratulates Crawley Borough Council on its ground-breaking tenants reward scheme launched by the parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister; notes that Rewards 4U is designed to reward good tenants whose rent is always paid on time for many years with a ú1,000 free monthly prize draw; commends other aspects of the scheme including education grants, funds for neighbourhood improvements and inexpensive home contents insurance; and accepts that these incentives recognise the vast majority of the good tenants who value high quality council housing.
