DALKEITH SCHOOL'S COMMUNITY CAMPUS
EDM number 716 in 2003-04, proposed by David Hamilton on 26/02/2004.
That this House congratulates Midlothian Council on its initiative in providing state of the art facilities in a linked campus for Saltersgate, Dalkeith High School and St David's RC High School in Dalkeith; believes that The Dalkeith School's Community Campus offers tremendous opportunities for pupils to mix socially from all three schools and to share facilities for sport, leisure, drama and study and offers the opportunity for joint senior classes in subjects not currently provided; and notes the comments of Jack McConnell, First Minister, reflecting on the new schools at their recent opening, that the campus is not about eroding differences but is about celebrating differences and working together to get the best results for all.
This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
