Roehampton University And Human Rights

EDM number 913 in 2004-05, proposed by Tony Colman on 14/03/2005.

That this House congratulates Roehampton University at the beginning of its Debating War, Defending Rights Week on obtaining funding for the establishment of a Centre for Rights Understanding and Citizenship based on Learning through Experience (CRUCiBLE); recognises that this centre will provide a focus for Roehampton's existing expertise in human rights education; further recognises that the centre is innovatory in its plans to establish and maintain links with non-governmental organisations, local businesses and community bodies in order to arrange placements for students, providing them with the opportunity to engage with real world issues; and wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavours.

This motion has been signed by a total of 5 MPs.
