Canadian Election

That this House congratulates Stephen Harper, the new Prime Minister of Canada, on returning the Conservative Party to power after over a decade in opposition following their historic victory in the General Election on 23rd January; and urges the Government to work closely with the new Canadian government in the future to strengthen the deeply entrenched economic, political and cultural bonds between the United Kingdom and Canada.
