Manchester Transport

EDM number 794 in 2006-07, proposed by Graham Stringer on 31/01/2007.

That this House notes the estimate made by Manchester Airport that £90 million a year will be raised from the increase in the airport passenger duty at Manchester alone; further notes that the Chancellor of the Exchequer has said that this money should be applied to transport and environmental improvement schemes; and concludes that this money should therefore be immediately invested in extending the tram system to Ashton, Wythenshawe and Rochdale.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
