Positive Discrimination

EDM number 171 in 2010-12, proposed by Philip Davies on 08/06/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Local government and Racial discrimination.

That this House is very concerned to note that Bristol City Council is restricting work opportunities by excluding white applicants from certain positions; believes that jobs should be given to people on merit irrespective of their race; opposes this form of political correctness in the name of positive discrimination; notes that positive discrimination is simply a form of discrimination which serves to undermine real equality and damages race relations; and calls on the Government to bring forward proposals to repeal all current legislation on positive discrimination.

This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
