That this House welcomes the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group's Made by Britain project which highlights the importance of specialist manufacturing to the British economy; recognises the exceptional contribution of the manufacturing industry in Walsall to the economy of the West Midlands; notes that there are many manufacturers in Walsall who generate strong export sales for the region by using the specialist skills and expertise of the local workforce to manufacture their products to a standard that cannot be matched by manufacturers overseas; commends the work of companies such as ALCA Fasteners and Bonner Studs of Darlaston who produce fasteners and studs for use in a variety of industrial applications, Launer London Ltd of Chuckery who hand-make high quality handbags and Chamberlin and Hill who produce specialist castings for use in turbochargers that are used to make petrol engines more efficient; further welcomes the nomination of Chamberlin and Hill to represent Walsall South in the Made by Britain scheme; acknowledges that the company has returned to profit by using the specialist skills of the local workforce; and calls on the Government to support manufacturing in Walsall South, the West Midlands and across the UK as a vital aspect of economic growth and development.
