Cancellation Of The Building Schools For The Future Programme In Sandwell

EDM number 1090 in 2012-13, proposed by Tom Watson on 13/02/2013.
Categorised under the topics of Freedom of information and Schools.

That this House notes the unsatisfactory responses provided by the Department for Education to both written parliamentary questions and requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the cancellation of the Building Schools for the Future programme in Sandwell; further notes the unacceptable length of time it has taken for Ministers to respond to both written parliamentary questions and requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 from hon. Members and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council on this matter; believes that Ministers are providing as little as possible in the way of factual information in order to frustrate scrutiny of the executive on whether private email accounts were used to discuss the cancellation of the Building Schools for the Future programme in Sandwell; and calls on the appropriate authorities to investigate this evidence to ensure that hon. Members are not prevented from undertaking effective scrutinty of the executive.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
