Hayes Fire Station

EDM number 636 in 2012-13, proposed by John McDonnell on 25/10/2012.
Categorised under the topic of Fire services.

That this House notes with extreme concern the proposal to cut fire cover, includinga fire pump at Hayes fire station; further notes that this station serves a densely populated urban, residential, industrial and commercial area; further notes that this area is subject to the risk of accidents related to the M4 and M25 motorways, the heavily-used A312 road and Heathrow Airport; calls on the London Fire Authority to abandon its proposal; and further calls on the Mayor of London to intervene to halt these damaging cuts to the fire service which will put the lives and safety of local residents at risk.
