That this House commends Jamie Oliver on the recent documentary Sugar Rush, which highlights the risks of the overconsumption of sugar and the necessity of labelling and accurate nutritional information; further commends Mr Oliver on raising this important subject, with poor diet and overconsumption of products high in sugar and fat contributing to unprecedented levels of obesity, diabetes and tooth decay; supports Mr Oliver's call for tougher measures to address this crisis, such as a sugar tax; notes the success of Mr Oliver's former public awareness campaigns for school meals; and calls on the Government to take serious measures to address the overconsumption of sugar, especially amongst children.
