Celtic Football Club's Charitable Traditions

That this House congratulates Celtic Football Club, their charitable arm the Celtic FC Foundation and the Celtic supporters following the raising of approximately £90,000 to assist those affected in the refugee crisis through a number of different initiatives; notes that £40,000 of this will be donated to the British Red Cross, £30,000 to the European Clubs Association who will distribute the money fairly, with the remainder being used to support refugees within the Glasgow area; recognises the important part of Celtic's tradition and history of giving to charity.
