New Health Campus For Harlow

EDM number 1194 in 2017-19, proposed by Robert Halfon on 24/04/2018.
Categorised under the topic of Health services.

That this House notes the vital and pressing need for the development a new health campus in Harlow; is deeply concerned by the existing hospital's deteriorating infrastructure; acknowledges the issues faced in recruiting and retaining staff at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow; further notes the extra pressure put on Princess Alexandra A&E services due to changes to other local healthcare facilities; recognises that the development of a new health campus in Harlow could solve each of these problems; understands that a health campus would bring together accident and emergency services, GP provision, social care, physiotherapy and a new ambulance hub in state of the art, purposeĀ-built facilities; believes that a new health campus would bring healthcare in Harlow into the 21st Century; and therefore urges the Government to make capital funding available for a new health campus in Harlow.
