Oakwood Remembers
EDM number 1824 in 2017-19, proposed by David Linden on 12/11/2018.
That this House welcomes the inaugural Remembrance Sunday service at Oakwood Primary School in Easterhouse, Glasgow; is encouraged that the Primary 7 pupils of Oakwood Primary School identified the lack of a war memorial within the local community and arranged a Remembrance garden within the school grounds, making use of a £250 grant from Youth Bank; warmly commends these pupils for taking such an admirable initiative; and congratulates them on their thoughtful efforts to remember those who sacrificed their lives in order that we might be able to enjoy freedom today.
