That this House sends its congratulations to East Renfrewshire's, Kenneth Graham McAlpine, on his success at The Herald's Scottish Family Business Awards 2017; notes with satisfaction that McAlpine's business, of which he is a Director, won Large Scottish Family Business of the Year and the Outstanding Contribution Award, which was sponsored by Strathclyde Business School; believes that McAlpine and Co must be considered one of Scotland's most successful and longest running family businesses having been founded in 1902 and still being run by the same family today; is aware that the company produces plumbing products which it exports to over 80 countries; and takes this opportunity to wish Kenneth and all the team at McAlpine and Co every continued success for business in the New Year.
