EDM number 467 in 1989-90, proposed by Jeff Rooker on 07/02/1990.

That this House calls upon the Department of Health to institute an inquiry into the rates of pay of shop assistants aged 16 to 19 years at the Lloyds Chemist Group so as to ensure that this National Health Service contractor is carrying out its obligations of the National Joint Industrial Council for Retailing Pharmacy to make arrangements to recover any underpayment of wages; and believes that the Lloyds Chemist Group should post in the staff quarters of its shops the current pay rates agreed by the Joint Industrial Council to which it is a signatory.
