Opted Out Hospitals

EDM number 768 in 1990-91, proposed by Harriet Harman on 29/04/1991.

That, in view of the cuts that have been announced in Guy's and Lewisham Trust and Bradford Hospitals Trust which are an inevitable consequence of the Government's policies in the National Health Service, this House calls on the Secretary of State for health to publish the business plans of all opted-out hospitals and immediately call a halt to preparations for a second wave of trusts.
