Pesticides And Anophthalmia (No.2)

EDM number 2110 in 1992-93, proposed by Liz Lynne on 07/06/1993.

That this House notes with regret that the Government has failed to initiate an independent inquiry into the causes of anophthalmia and microphthalmia; and urges them to undertake a study into the link with the fungicide Benomyl and eye defects in new born children and, in the meantime, to issue guidelines which would ban Benlate for domestic use and restrict usage to trained operators issued with all necessary protective apparel.

This motion has been signed by a total of 34 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
