That this House notes the application by Ford for regional selective assistance to ensure that the planned X200 Jaguar sports saloon is designed and built at its world-class plants in Birmingham and Coventry; stresses the vital importance of this new model to jobs and the economy of the West Midlands; and calls upon the Government to work with both companies to maximise the prospects of securing this project in the United Kingdom.
