National Theatre In Beijing

EDM number 1009 in 1997-98, proposed by Rudi Vis on 12/03/1998.

That this House congratulates the cast and crew of Britain's National Theatre for their spectacular triumph in Beijing in early March with the acclaimed Sam Mendes production of Othello; and expresses the wish that crossing the cultural divide will result in further bridge-building between the United Kingdom and China in social, economic and political affairs.

This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs.
