Essex School Transport
EDM number 1205 in 1997-98, proposed by Bob Russell on 06/04/1998.
That this House deplores the decision of the Conservative-controlled Essex County Council Education Committee to introduce school and college transport charges for pupils and students over the age of 16 years; believes that such charges will in particular hit those living in rural areas or some distance from the school or college of their choice; and calls on other Conservative county councillors to overturn the decision.
This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
