60th Anniversary Of The Beano

That this House congratulates The Beano on its 60th birthday on 30th July; notes that last year it was voted the best British comic of all time in a nation-wide poll; congratulates the publishers and staff who have brought so much enjoyment to the young at heart of all ages over six decades; notes that it sells 250,000 copies every week; welcomes the launch of The Beano Club; and looks forward to the comic bringing continued happiness to its appreciative readers in the years ahead.
