Eligibility To Stand For Council

That this House calls on the Secretary of State for Scotland to bring forward legislation to enable local government employees in Scotland to stand for election for the council for which they work and in whose area they live, subject to the restrictions on political activity by senior officials and measures to prevent any improper influence.
