No-Fault Compensation
EDM number 354 in 1997-98, proposed by Desmond Turner on 27/10/1997.
That this House is deeply concerned that it is still possible for persons to be seriously injured in road accidents and yet receive no compensation for their injuries, and that in any event there is a long delay and that the injured persons may suffer great financial hardship; and therefore resolves to request the Government to investigate the introduction of a no-fault compensation system in order to address the cases of very great hardship and distress that presently occur.
This motion has been signed by a total of 50 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
