That this House notes the success of the motor industry in the United Kingdom and its valuable contribution to the economy; notes the importance of manufacturing industry in wealth creation; welcomes the contribution of the motor industry to inward investment across the United Kingdom and notes the ú180 million investment by General Motors and Renault in IBC; notes the success of the United Kingdom-built Vauxhall Frontera in breaking the round the world record; and believes that the motor industry, working in partnership with Government and consumers, can make a contribution to improving the environmental performance of all road vehicles.
