Vehicle Excise Duty Campaign

EDM number 99 in 1997-98, proposed by Fraser Kemp on 10/06/1997.

That this House supports the campaign of the Government and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency in conjunction with Northumbria, Durham and Cleveland Police Forces against vehicle excise duty evasion; notes that such evasion cost the law abiding taxpayer some ú175 million in the last financial year; and believes that this campaign will be supported by all those who use and contribute to the upkeep of transport facilities in this country to ensure this money currently lost is used to provide improved transport infrastructure.

This motion has been signed by a total of 27 MPs.
