Taiwan And Who

EDM number 309 in 1999-00, proposed by Tom Cox on 24/01/2000.

That this House notes and supports the request of Taiwan ROC to be granted observer status to the World Health Organisation; and further notes that while Taiwan already has excellent health services within its country, fully understands the aspiration of its people and all who work in the medical profession to be fully involved in the medical developments that are taking place world-wide; further notes that to grant observer status in the World Health Organisation would allow exchanges of medical developments and progress to be fully discussed; and requests that at the next meeting of the World Health Organisation in Geneva the World Health Organisation give serious consideration to this request for observer status.

This motion has been signed by a total of 53 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
