Mike Tyson And Future Visits To The UK

EDM number 901 in 1999-00, proposed by Alex Salmond on 27/06/2000.

That this House notes with regret the events surrounding Mike Tyson's recent fight in Glasgow; the public opposition to the visit and the questionable benefits to the Glasgow economy and the UK's reputation as a venue for major sporting events; notes with particular concern the unacceptable comments made by Mike Tyson in relation to Lennox Lewis and his family; and calls on the Home Secretary to reject any future visa applications for Mike Tyson to visit the UK.

This motion has been signed by a total of 36 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
