CENTENARY OF BARR'S IRN BRU

EDM number 122 in 2001-02, proposed by David Marshall on 11/07/2001.

That this House welcomes the centenary of Barr's Irn Bru which was first produced in 1901 in the Parkhead area of Glasgow, which is still the location of its registered office; congratulates the workforce, management, and the Barr family on establishing Irn Bru as a world famous brand name and the number one soft drink in Scotland; wishes it well in expanding its sales throughout the UK and in export markets world-wide; and wishes everyone connected with Irn Bru all the best for the next 100 years.
