European Champions League Final In Glasgow

EDM number 1333 in 2001-02, proposed by David Marshall on 16/05/2002.

That this House congratulates the people of Glasgow for their warm welcome to all the fans attending the European Champions League football final at Hampden Park on Wednesday 15th May between Real Madrid from Spain and Bayer Leverkusen from Germany; further congratulates all the players, match and team officials on their sportsmanship; recalls the similarities with the previous famous Hampden final in 1960, also between Spanish and German clubs, Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt; and hopes that the City of Glasgow with its three excellent stadia - Hampden, Ibrox and Parkhead - will be privileged to play host to may more such events.

This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs.
