That this House notes the launch of the Jobcentre Plus Pathfinder scheme; acknowledges that the Government wants services in the Benefits Agency and Employment Service to be delivered in an open plan environment without protective screens; notes that over 5,000 incidents of threatening behaviour against benefit office workers were reported in the United Kingdom last year; is concerned about the health and safety risks posed as a result of the new working practices; urges the Government to reconsider its proposed new working practices under the Jobcentre Plus Pathfinder scheme; recognises the real concerns of the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS); and fully supports the strike action taken by members of PCS.
