Sister Sarah Clarke

EDM number 799 in 2001-02, proposed by John McDonnell on 04/02/2002.

That this House mourns the sad loss of Sister Sarah Clarke, a woman of outstanding courage, integrity and compassion, recently honoured by the Pope, who throughout the darkest and often dangerous days of the troubles in Northern Ireland provided succour and comfort to Irish Republican prisoners by her prison visits and her support for their families and who was a key campaigner for the release of innocent prisoners suffering from miscarriages of justice, including the Guildford Four and the Birmingham Six.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
