Kava Kava
EDM number 1241 in 2002-03, proposed by David Tredinnick on 19/05/2003.
That this House notes with interest the decision to allow the National Association of Health Stores to proceed with its application for a full judicial review of the decisions of the Food Standards Agency and the Medicines and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency to ban the use of kava kava in food and medicines; commends the NAHS on this move to expose the lack of a real scientific basis for these decisions and the mishandling of the decision-making process by these two agencies; and looks forward to the outcome of the review.
This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
