Moratorium On Gm Crop Trials

EDM number 141 in 2002-03, proposed by Mike Weir on 19/11/2002.

That this House notes the evidence presented to the Scottish Parliament Health Committee by the British Medical Association which called for a moratorium on GM crop trials because of the insufficient care taken to protect public health and the lack of public consultation about crop trials despite the steady increase in the number of trials; and supports the conclusion of the British Medical Association; and calls upon the Government to impose an immediate moratorium.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
