Funding The Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation (Ciswo) 2

That this House is most concerned to learn that CISWO's severe funding crisis has not been addressed and that the Management Board will meet on 28th February to consider a plan for a significant down-sizing of the organisation's operation and a reduction in the services provided for elderly miners and their widows; and calls on the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry to meet the representatives of the organisation to explore sustainable funding options to ensure continuity of the service.
