PARISH AND TOWN COUNCILS' RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS SUB-POST OFFICES

EDM number 894 in 2002-03, proposed by David Drew on 14/03/2003.

That this House welcomes the decision of the Stonehouse Town Council to buy its local post office; and believes that this is an excellent example of how parish and town councils can take a lead in supporting their communities by taking a stake in their sub-post office, which is usually at the centre of their community.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
