Possible Regulation Of Estate Agents
EDM number 1085 in 2003-04, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 29/04/2004.
That this House notes the recent initiative taken by Which on the need to regulate estate agents; acknowledges that the vast majority of long established estate agents are professional and carry out their functions without complaint from the general public; notes however in a survey carried out by Which that the activities of a minority has ensured that 82 per cent. of people thought that all estate agents should be trained and have a professional qualification; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to begin widespread consultation in order to establish what regulation may be required in this sector.
This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
