Possible Regulation Of Estate Agents

That this House notes the recent initiative taken by Which on the need to regulate estate agents; acknowledges that the vast majority of long established estate agents are professional and carry out their functions without complaint from the general public; notes however in a survey carried out by Which that the activities of a minority has ensured that 82 per cent. of people thought that all estate agents should be trained and have a professional qualification; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to begin widespread consultation in order to establish what regulation may be required in this sector.
