SWANSEA'S INSIDE GUIDE TO CRIME PREVENTION

EDM number 1615 in 2003-04, proposed by Martin Caton on 08/09/2004.

That this House congratulates the inmates and staff of Swansea Prison and the Safer Swansea Partnership who are responsible for the production of the, Inside Guide to Crime Prevention, aimed at reducing crime in the City of Swansea; notes that this booklet was written by 25 prisoners who tell how they ended up in prison and give advice on how to prevent being the victim of the sorts of crime they committed; welcomes the fact that the Guide will be available in libraries, leisure centres, police stations, community centres and other public buildings; hopes that its circulation can be further extended; and urges other communities that house one of Her Majesty's Prisons to follow Swansea's innovative example.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
