Signing Ceremony For Eu Constitutional Treaty

EDM number 1847 in 2003-04, proposed by Keith Vaz on 28/10/2004.

That this House notes the historic ceremony at Campidoglio in the Sala Degli Orazi and Curiazi in Rome where, on Friday 29th October, the heads of state or government and ministers of foreign affairs of 28 European countries will sign the treaty and the final act establishing a constitution for Europe; notes that the candidate countries Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania will sign the final act and that Croatia will attend the ceremony; and congratulates the member states of the EU on this historic achievement and wishes them well in the ratification process due to take place over the next two years.
