100 Days To A Clean City

That this House congratulates Manchester City Council on its '100 Days to a Clean City' initiative; notes that during the first 25 days 40 projects out of a hundred have been completed, including the collection of 150 refrigerators and freezers, the removal of 140 abandoned cars, 325 tonnes of extra refuse and 250 dumped tyres; and commends the people of Manchester who have responded by making 1,700 calls to the Grime Hotline, reporting incidents of fly-tipping and graffiti as well as helping clear 60,000 square metres of land.
