Knowsley South Football Club

That this House congratulates Knowsley South Football Club on being the 2002-03 national winners of the FA's Charter Standard Club Award; notes the club's comprehensive set of policies and standards for parent/carer consent, child protection, use of photograph and video images, recruitment of volunteers, working in partnership with schools, anti-discrimination, equal opportunities and anti-bullying, codes of conduct for players, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents/carers and spectators and guidelines for safety, all set out in detail in the club's excellent handbook entitled Codes of Conduct and Good Practices; congratulates Mr Jim O'Shea and all those who have worked with him in the development of these policies, standards, guidelines and codes of conduct; and is confident that the Knowsley South FC handbook will be widely adopted as a blueprint for practice by other clubs aspiring to FA Charter Club Standard.
